Yeehah! The Klamath Dams removal starts! As you know, I’m a fan of rewilding. Removing dams is one of the biggest things we can do to rewild rivers. There’s a phrase ecologists have called “degraded system” which

The Ginkgo Flow A short but very cool story in Oregon Field guide on the Ginkgo flow. One of the Columbia Basalt flows. A fissure flow originating where the Snake River is today, but was the Columbia River valley when it was erupting. It flowed from Eastern Washington to the Pacific. One of the outlets was in Oregon at Yaquina Head. This was all before the existence of the current Cascades and Mount Hood. I want to see a digital twin/model of all the Columbia Basalt fissure flows. From Bob (Thanks Bob!).
