Why GeoCraíc?
I collect these notes for my own interest. I’ve done it for years. Then a couple of years ago I thought some other Geographer friends of mine might also be interested and started sending out an email. Those first posts were pretty simple. It’s grown a bit but it is always curated by me. What interests me. Occassionally there will be a contribution from someone, which I appreciate and try to credit. Ultimately I would really love to build a community of folk who are interested in geographic topics and areas who enjoy discussing them together. Right now, it’s good friends. And I’ve proved to myself I can sustain an irregular “newsletter” over a couple of years. Who knows where it will go from here. It’s just for fun.
